Description of session type

Plenary Symposium
The Plenary Symposium is where you have to be to catch the trends of the time! Excellent hand-selected speakers summarize a field of specific interest for you in a state-of-art lecture!

Main Symposium
The main symposia are state-of the art educational sessions in which the speakers critically review diverse aspects of a specific topic. The target audience is delegates who are primarily in the subject or wish to update their knowledge in the area.

SERIN Symposium
These symposia always have a very special character; two key opinion leaders are reporting from their field of expertise, and are followed by 3-4 oral presentations provided by young researchers. They have the full attention of the key lecturers and of the audience!

JMA Symposium
The young researchers together make the program of their own symposium and present their most interesting papers!

Poster Discussion Session
A group of 12-15 related posters are discussed in each session; the speaker has 3 minutes to present the content of her/his poster. A good training to be short and convincing! No poster stays unnoticed...

Round Table
As a contrast to the knockabout format of Pro&con Debate we are introducing more formal discussions in which the audience will express their opinion on a topic and then listen to the speakers presenting the case for an against the chosen topic. A vote is also taken at the end of the session to see whether delegates have been swayed by the arguments presented. Everyone wins by listening to the range of opinion!

Pro & Con Debate
We all know that in medicine and science nothing is black or white, but there are many different shades of grey! The Pro & Con Debates allow speakers to argue about controversial topics in an attractive format which provides "food for thought".

Oral Presentation
The most exciting work out of all submitted abstracts for ERAM/SERIN 2010 will be honoured with a place in these sessions. This is where you might hear the topics of tomorrow...

Lunch Satellite Symposium
Uriach is sponsoring a lunch symposium within the main Scientific Programme. The content of this symposium is proposed directly by Uriach and approved by the Scientific Committee prior to inclusion within the main Scientific Programme
